Islam In Pakistan
Culturally, Islam is massively influential in Pakistan. Islam is the official religion of Pakistan. Education, government, and law are all heavily influenced in Islam. In order for the country to balance religious values and personal freedoms, sharia law co-exists with westernized business and legal systems (University of West Florida) . Islam also is evident in many pieces of Urdu literature. These pieces of literature include masterwork by Maulana Azad, Iqbal, Shibili, Hali, Ghalib, Agha, Hashar, Manto, and Faiz handicraft (Diplomat Link). A guest visiting this country should know that greetings are always between the same sexes and that they must dress modestly and conservatively. Female visitors should show little to no cleavage and must show little to no skin in areas such as arms and legs (Kwintessentials). The Islamic culture is a foundation of Pakistani culture and can be seen throughout the common practices, virtues, and morals in Pakastani culture.
